How To Train Your Hair

Stop making the biggest hair mistake ever!

Do you have dandruff, a dry scalp, hair that feels like grass, or is does it feel like your hair gets dirty again the moment you just finished washing it? Well, you don't have to wonder anymore. Your problem is over-washing. And yes, that's an actual thing and I'm here to tell you how to fix it.

I know what you're going to say, "I can't wash my hair any less, because it'll just get dirty, and then I have to wash it again!" But for once in your life, you need to chill and live with the dirt, because that's what's going to save your hair.

Here's the science behind it if you don't believe me, so your scalp produces natural oils right? But because the shampoo's we use are so full of chemicals, it completely strips our scalp's natural oils. And, our bodies are so amazing, that when your scalp feels how dry it is (because of the shampoo), it goes into full stress mode, and produces more oil. And just like that, you are pulled into a cycle of wash, oil, wash, more oil, more wash.

This is not a cycle you want to be in because it happens to be really bad for your hair. Did you know, that the chemicals used in commercial shampoos are the same ones you use to clean your pool. I'll give you a moment to let that sink in.

So how to fix this, and you definitely should, is to get down and dirty. Let your scalp produce as much oil as she wants until she realizes that the threat of shampoo is not as bad as it used to be. I suggest not washing your hair more than two times a week, once a week if you can. Trust me. This works.

To get started training your hair, follow these simple steps:

  1. LET IT BE: Start by not washing your hair for four days straight. Continue this for another two weeks. In week four, you should be seeing a major difference already. If you're aiming to wash only once a week, do the same for four weeks. In that week, you don't have to not wash your hair at all, halfway through, you can just rinse it in the shower. While rinsing your hair, just work your fingers through your scalp, giving yourself a massage. This will just get out some of the dirt, I recommend this especially if you exercise every day.

  2. USE SULFATE-FREE SHAMPOO: A big mistake that people make is using shampoo with those pool chemicals that I mentioned earlier. When buying shampoo make 100% sure the brand that you choose is sulfate-free.

  3. USE LESS SHAMPOO: You definitely don't have to use a whole bottle of shampoo when washing your hair. This trick will save you money and also save your hair.
