4 REASONS YOUR EYEBROWS ARE F*CKED

Put down those damn tweezers, and listen. People have always been obsessed with their eyebrows, and finally the human race has figured out the secret to a better overall appearance. ALL NATURAL. Yes, that's right, natural, fluffy and healthy brows will improve your appearance greatly. If you don't believe me, look below at the proof.

Shocking, my point exactly.

Here are 4 ways you may be paving your way to forced celibacy:

1. Over plucking and over waxing

I know that when you start plucking, that OCD side of you comes out, and you just keep going. But beware of how dangerous quarantweezing can be. Over plucking and over waxing can potentially ruin your eyebrows for a long, long time. The violent manner of tweezing, causes trauma to the tissue, resulting your hair growth to take an extended vacation in the resting phase (Telogen phase) which can take up to 100 days without that extended vacation. Click here for more info about the phases.

2. Face Creams

Clogged pores can also cause stunted growth. It is important that when you're applying moisturizer, BB cream and foundation, that you either work around your brows, or just make sure to get all the product out of them afterwards. A helpful tip that I use, is that when I exfoliate once a week, I make sure to, gently, exfoliate my brows as well. This will also help prevent brow pimples and ingrown hairs.

3. Diet

Diet plays an important role in how our body functions, and not just how much you weigh. Food is extremely powerful, and certain foods can either harm, or heal us. This doesn't mean that you should cut certain foods out of your diet until the day you die. But when it comes to food, moderation and balance are key. With that being said, a diet lacking in certain vitamins and minerals can affect hair growth, just as much as a diet with too much sugar, alcohol and processed food can. So consume those in moderation, keeping in mind that their harmful side effects are more than stunted hair growth. Foods that help hair growth are protein rich foods like meat, eggs, cheese, milk and lentils; antioxidant packed foods like blueberries, leafy greens, mangoes, spinach and also foods containing healthy fats such as almonds, walnuts and salmon. 4. Aging

As our immortal bodies age, our bodies produce less collagen. This means that our skin looses elasticity and that our body produces less protein, and thus our hair doesn't grow like it used to. This is just life and it is ultimately inevitable. But this doesn't mean that we can just let go and let nature take it's course. We still have to take care of ourselves to lessen the nasty effects of aging. A way you can do this is also diet, as well as taking a collagen supplement. The research about collagen and if it actually works, is still ongoing, but it's not like we have years to wait and find out.

Because eyebrows are so crucial to your overall appearance, it's important to take care of them. So give your brows some love and let them be while taking care of them like delicate babies who can't take care of themselves. Click here for a low down on previous brow trends.

Good luck on your journey to unf*ck your brow babies.
